A WORLD IN A SUITCASE

St. Mary Mags

St Mary Mags
The St. Mary Mags Project is restoring the church and will provide a new building with a café, classroom, family events, and creative activities, becoming a place to meet and learn for all of the community.
St. Mary Mags is collaborating with Westminster Adult Education Services.
Participants explored and shared their Worlds in relation to the local area around the St Mary Mags, through the themes of arrivals, community and belonging. They communicated their Worlds through art, collage and storytelling.
Sharing our Worlds. In one of the sessions we all retold stories from the Mullah Nasrudin, also known as Joha or the Hoja. We found out that we all know these stories passed down over the generations from different cultures up to the present day. Through the retelling of these stories we felt a connection to each other.
A World in a Suitcase was part of the Open Day.showcasing the work created by the learners.
